Wheels Up 03:50
Flying over the blue ridge mountains Rolling hills are all I see Big old world don’t seem so bad from 20,000 feet Sometimes I get to thinking Is this where I’m supposed to be? Rolling in my bed, living in my head Put an end to all this means Wheels up, off the ground Get lost in some big old town something good, something real Wheels up Now a voice says that we’re getting closer Parking lots and old train yards Falling down to you feels so lonesome Does it have to be this hard? Gotta steal away gotta steal away Just to heal an aching heart sometimes along the way You got to make a brand new start Wheels up, off the ground Get lost in some big old town something good, something real Wheels up Fly away tonight, leave it behind when I come back home You’re still on my mind

Queen Bed 02:52
Friday night we went out on the town drank all the beer that we could hold stumbled all the way back home in the morning light Saturday we threw away the plans from the night before hid our eyes from the bright sunlight Swore we’d never do it again But we’ll do it again yeah we’ll do it again You and me pretend this queen bed is an island floating in the middle of a dream. Sunday came like an old freight train Busting right through my door My head is aching, my hands are shaking Won’t you pour me some of that white wine Ain’t nothing getting done Put the ball game on hum along to some old Roger Miller country song I don’t know where to begin this old life of sin woman don’t you weep for me Don’t you weep for me You and me pretend this queen bed is an island floating in the middle of a dream.

When I look in your eyes Darling, I don’t get no surprise Taste my mouth in your ear Baby, you know just what to hear Well, I brought you the sun But you already had one I brought you the moon But it got full too soon I brought you the sea But it wouldn’t part for me Shake this fruit from my tree Gonna make a fool out of me When I look in your eyes Darling, I don’t get no surprise Taste my mouth in your ear Baby, you know just what to hear Well, I brought you the sun But you already had one I brought you the moon But it got full too soon I brought you the sea But it wouldn’t part for me Shake this fruit from my tree Gonna make a fool out of me Well, I brought you the sun But you already had one I brought you the moon But it got full too soon I brought you the sea But it wouldn’t part for me Shake this fruit from my tree Gonna make a fool out of me

$12 shower at the Flying J All I wanna do is sleep all day We got a show tonight in Charlottesville If the storm lets up we can make the bill. We got trucker speed and homegrown weed Little white pills to help you sleep Keep the van in between the ditch Hoping this old trailer don’t bust that hitch. And it’s miles to go to make the next gig It’s a fiddle tune dancing in my head Sing another song for those gone Under the light of the old buck moon Another cup of coffee and get back on the road Wondering why that I left my home Miss my bed and I miss my dog Folks at the show watch the game on the wall. We drove all night and made Omaha Teton pass we drove through the fog Roll the window down can’t see the line Another night here might lose my mind. And it’s miles to go to make the next gig It’s a fiddle tune dancing in my head Sing another song for those gone Under the light of the old buck moon Small town bar lit by neon light Dude yelling Skynyrd was looking for a fight Waffle House at three a.m. This life on the road it’ll kill you my friend. Said we’d never leave this time last year How you gonna live off tips and beer Memories runnin’ through my mind All them good people, so many been kind Miles to go to make the next gig It’s a fiddle tune dancing in my head Sing another song for those gone Under the light of the old buck moon

Hanging On 03:17
I knew when I met you gonna regret you baby Watch out she’ll break your heart Too many late nights under the neon lights and phone calls from the road On and on we go But you and I both know We can’t get along Let’s figure out where it all went wrong Turn everything into sad songs ‘cause nothing good ever comes from hanging on We should take a holiday Try to get away and turn back the hands of time Where do we go from here? Just pour another beer And try like hell not to burn it all down On and on we go But you and I both know We can’t get along Let’s figure out where it all went wrong Turn everything into sad songs ‘cause nothing good ever comes from hanging on
6.
Say do you like to gamble? Well lay your money down Cause those big waves crashing, is the only sound That you’ll hear now You’ll hear now She was born up in mountains where tall pines grow far from your city streets and lights that glow She’s got a mind of her own Let her go She’s a wild gypsy She’s runnin’ free She’ll steal your mind and then she’s gone Her beauty cannot hide She’ll take you for a ride Cheat River girl Watch out boys she’ll take your life I said watch out boys Better hold on tight But she ain’t meant to hold Gotta let her go She’s a wild gypsy She’s runnin’ free She’ll steal your mind and then she’s gone Her beauty cannot hide She’ll take you for a ride Cheat River girl

Your old boots and your old records lay on my floor collecting dust Mine was yours and yours was mine, Still think about the time We danced underneath the Elkins moon Swinging all around to a fiddle tune From down in Pocahontas to the Blackwater Falls we watched that sun go down behind those canyon walls Here I sit in West Virginia way up high, feeling low Folks say it’s almost heaven but not since you’re gone Or that time in Dolly Sods we got caught out in the rain We found an old birch tree to hide out for the day Laughing all the while I held your hand Then we laid down made love in the sand Here I sit in West Virginia way up high, feeling low Folks say it’s almost heaven but not since you’re gone Now its drinks all around another Friday night Gang’s all here, but it don’t seem right singing songs again about the ones we love Maybe something else just as long as it ain’t slow Here I sit in West Virginia way up high, feeling low Folks say it’s almost heaven but not since you’re gone
8.
Couldn’t sleep last night I was thinking about you Lord knows what we’ve been through Play these bars, smoke and drink I can’t help but think I called you from the interstate You said love won’t wait It won’t wait for you in Austin or out in Omaha It won’t wait for you in Nashville if you even come back at all Want me now, I’m yours to take She said love, this love won’t wait We’ve been through about everything Out on the road I pick this guitar and sing From town to town and about every place in between I can’t help but think I called you from the interstate You said love won’t wait It won’t wait for you in Austin or out in Omaha It won’t wait for you in Nashville if you even come back at all If you want me now, I’m yours to take Love, love won’t wait She said love, love won’t wait
9.
You left me shook up You left me stoned You left me hollerin’ all night on my own You left me on the tarmac at the Charleston airport But I never thought you’d leave me alone You left your shoes on ‘cross my white floor You left your number carved into my door You left your Mitch Miller vinyl but took Zep 1, 2, and 4 But I never thought you’d leave me alone Leave me alone (Leave me alone) Leave me alone (Leave me alone) I never thought you’d leave me alone Well, you left when I was right and right as rain you’ll leave me soaked But I never thought you’d leave me alone You left so quickly I didn’t know that you’d rightly left a long long time ago So now I’m right here right behind you leaving right before I go But I never thought you’d leave me alone Leave me alone (Leave me alone) Leave me alone (Leave me alone) I never thought you’d leave me alone Well, you left when I was right and right as rain you’ll leave me soaked But I never thought you’d leave me alone Leave me alone (Leave me alone) Leave me alone(Leave me alone) I never thought you’d leave me alone Well, you left when I was right and right as rain you’ll leave me soaked But I never thought you’d leave me alone

New Years resolution What are we choosing? Only keep what we’re using Leave all the rest January Too much to carry Ain’t feeling very much like myself Days are strange They all seem the same But I can’t complain Just another year gone Auld Lang syne Try to find a little peace of mind in good things to come And you know it’s all gonna fade someday when we up and move away I guess we better laugh just to keep from crying And you know all the stories Next round is on me I guess we better laugh just to keep from crying Ooh Ooh Call the doctor Call the medicine man We’ve got to get back to this land Hear the ancient tones Rattling bones Underneath this moss and stone Ooh Ooh On forest floor we will sleep From clear springs we’ll drink Returning to unconscious dreams Please let this stillness be Ooh Ooh You cant buy or sell Take or borrow Down the road with you tomorrow So whatcha gonna give? With this time create These hearts were meant to break Go outside find you a lover Sing ‘em a sweet song every night Go climb a mountain underneath the stars And don’t forget to drink you some rye

about

Oyo is back with Another Round!

In the spirit of Oyo's gather-round-now y’all porch jam performances, Another Round features several special guests and collaborators from southeast Ohio and West Virginia, including John Borchard on pedal steel, Jesse Milnes on fiddle, Emily Miller on background vocals, Sam Lamont on background vocals and guitar, Andy Ray on percussion, and Adam Remnant on background vocals. The album was mastered by Glenn Davis.

Another Round features ten original songs by Aaron Martin and Michael Bond that continue the sonic journey Oyo began with their self-titled debut in February 2022.

Another Round was recorded by Adam Remnant in a remote orchard hand's cabin, just outside of Marietta, Ohio, as well as in the studio at the historic Stuart’s Opera House, up the road in Nelsonville. Oyo features Cole Adair on guitar and vocals; Michael Bond on keys, vocals, and harmonica; Aaron Martin on fiddle, mandolin, vocals, and guitar, Bobby Rosenstock on banjo, Joe Ryckebosch on drums; and Drew Tanner on bass and background vocals.

Bobby Rosenstock, who in addition to playing banjo operates JustAjar Design Press in Marietta, created a woodcut for the album cover that captures the intimate feeling of that orchard house in the woods where the band spends so much of its time. The forthcoming vinyl edition of the album will feature handprinted covers made from that woodcut.
